Akshara Foundation is a non-profit organization founded in 2017 with a vision to provide quality education and opportunities to underprivileged children. We believe that education is the key to breaking the cycle of poverty and creating a brighter future for individuals, families, and entire communities.
It was founded with a vision to provide quality education to underprivileged children, especially in rural and underserved areas. Since its inception in 2017, we have been committed to breaking the cycle of poverty through education, empowering children with the knowledge, skills, and confidence needed to transform their futures. Our foundation primarily focuses on supporting government residential schools, with a specific emphasis on children from economically disadvantaged backgrounds, including orphans. Over the years, we have grown to support over 130 students, ensuring they have access to free education, school supplies, health and nutrition programs, and digital learning resources.

Our Journey (2017 – 2026)
Founded in 2017, Akshara Foundation began with a small yet powerful vision—to ensure quality education and care for underprivileged children. What started as a modest initiative has grown into a large-scale movement impacting the lives of hundreds of children across government residential schools and rural communities.
Over the years, we expanded beyond basic educational support to focus on holistic child development. Our programs now include academic support, digital learning, uniforms, nutrition, healthcare assistance, life-skills education, and emotional well-being. Even during the challenging COVID-19 pandemic, Akshara Foundation stood strong, adapting to new methods and continuing support without interruption.
By 2024, our reach crossed 1000+ children, supported by improved infrastructure, committed volunteers, generous donors, and strong community partnerships.
From 2025 to 2026, our focus has shifted towards sustainability—enhancing digital literacy, vocational training, leadership skills, and long-term educational outcomes for children.
Today, Akshara Foundation stands as a symbol of resilience, compassion, and community empowerment. Our journey from 2017 to 2026 reflects not just growth in numbers, but growth in hope, confidence, and opportunity for every child we serve.
